Ball Point and Strawberry

Thanks Jackie, Natasha, Helen, April, Janice, John, Sasha, and Harley for making yesterday another good day out on the water.
Here's some pics Jackie took and a couple of photos of the front that rolled through shortly after we had gotten ashore . I think Helen and April encountered the front on their way back to Courtenay.

Observation Wall and Captains island Sponges

I had a good day yesterday diving with Jim Rossi, Kristen, Eric Holtz and Kal Helyar of Porpoise Bay Charters.
The water was a bit murky at Observation wall but its still one of the most colorful dives in the area.
we had a good second dive at a spot ive only caught a corner of before on Captains Island.
my thanks to all of you for making the day.
I had a bit of camera troubles but managed to salvage a few shots.

Ball Point Sponges

Yesterday Wayne and I went and dove a couple of the Ball Point sites we take charters to.
The sponges start at about 60 feet and
we have seen them at a couple hundred on these sites.
The vis yesterday after all the recent rain was about 50 feet , water temp avg 46f.
The sponges are a wonder to behold. Individual,  slow growing, fragile and easily damaged.
Heres a selection of photos from yesterday.
